Exam Registration

Pre Requisite

  • Minimum Eligibility: The candidate should be Graduate or in the Final Year of graduation to pursue FRM Part I Exam.There is no Age bar.
  • To get the charter: Four years of qualified, professional work experience, in addition to passing the FRM part I and II .Prior work expereiance will also count,means if a candidate have 4 year of expereiance ,then just after passing FRM Part I Exam., he/she will get Charter.

Examination Schedule

The FRM program is divided into two parts. Both can be taken on the same day in May or November (although we recommend you to write one part at a time). There are no penalties for incorrect answers. For the most up-to-date exam topics and relative weights, please check the GARP website.

What is FRM ?

The Financial Risk Manager (FRM®) Exam is the globally recognized standard for measuring the skills and knowledge of those who manage financial risk. A practice-oriented examination offered in two parts, questions are designed to relate theory to practical, real-world, problems. As such, candidates are expected to understand risk management concepts and approaches as they would apply to a risk manager?s day-to-day activities. The FRM Exam Part I focuses on the essential tools and concepts required to assess financial risk. Passing the FRM Exam Part I is the first step for an individual to become a Certified FRM.

What is the syllabus of FRM part I ?
Part 1 curriculum covers the tools used to assess risk

What is the Eligibility Criteria for FRM ?
  • Have a bachelor's (or equivalent) degree or be in the final year of your bachelor's degree program at the time of registration*.
  • Have a valid Identity card with date of issuance and expiry like Driving License or Passport .
  • As fees are to be paid by credit cards only .One needs to have a credit card with limit of around 35 thousand INR(but fees varies).
  • You should have a good understanding of Quantitative analysis (Stats) as well as of Economics and Financial Market Instruments (Stock market products) .
What types of Calculators are permitted in the Exam ?

Only two calculator models are authorized for use during FRA exams:

  • Texas Instruments BA II Plus (including BA II Plus Professional)
  • Hewlett Packard 12C (including the HP 12C Platinum, 12C Platinum 25th anniversary edition, 12C 30th anniversary edition, and HP 12C Prestige)

Can I pass the FRM Exam if I do poorly in One Section ?

You may still pass the FRM Level I and II Exam even if you fare poorly in one section, but don't count on it.

What score do I need to pass the exams ?

The GARP Board does not revel the passing score. However a rough estimate after reviewing score card of many students our institute held that score of 60% is safe.

This means that one needs to attempt around 55 questions out of 100 correct.We are assuming here that 5 bonus will come from blind guess.

Can I take both part I and II on the same day ?

Yes .

What is the minimum duration of course ?
